Gateway to Research endorses CERIF

The Gateway to Research (GtR) decision at an early stage to use CERIF provides a very public endorsement of the standard. The portal is being designed to allow the general public to access information on the research (including related data) funded by the UK’s Research Councils. It is aimed particularly at ‘innovative intensive companies’. GtR was announced by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills in December 2011 as part of the Innovation and Research Strategy which set out the Government’s approach to boosting investment in innovation and enabling UK success in the global economy. It is expected to be launched at the end of 2013.
